Jenna and Nate were married in June in Okoboji, IA. Their wedding was the quintessential Okoboji lake wedding experience. A traditional catholic ceremony, a boat ride with your best friends and family and then, of course, a great party at the Majestic Pavillion at Arnold’s Park. Carissa and I arrived to find the girls getting ready and were greeted by a the most adorable sight, this little nest full of baby birds. I had to include them in their blog post, they were so cute!
I love love love it when couples exchange gifts before they see each other. The left shot below of Jenna opening her gifts (right) is Carissa’s vantage point of Jenna opening her gift. She looks absolutely radiant here!
By the time we were ready for their first look, the weather was threatening to stop cooperating with us. It stayed nice through their first look and then for about five or ten minutes of photos of the couple before we had to seek shelter.

Before heading over to the church we grabbed some shots of the bridal party in front of their hotel. Who can even tell it’s raining here? I think they turned out beautiful! Rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck too!
Then it was off to the church for their ceremony.

Following their ceremony, we all hopped on board the Big Foot Barge for a boat ride across the lake to the Pavillion.
Once we arrived we did a few fun pics at the park and then the party got started!
