Ariel & Miles’ wedding at the World Food Prize was absolutely stunning from top to bottom!! We began the day meeting up with the bridal party for some getting ready shots at Embassy Suites where we were greeted by a stunning Ariel, complete with a bridal glow. Seriously, she was glowing she looked so radiant!
Shot of wedding invitation and the guys getting ready by Shana Drake.
A quick father/daughter moment before their first look… Love!
The rest of their wedding day activities were held at the World Food Prize, beginning with their first look. I just love when my clients decide to take time to have this moment. It’s one of my favorite parts of the whole day!
While we were outside getting photos of the bride and groom near the river, I had a vision in my head of this cute cuddly close up shot of them…
I was thrilled to tears to see Shana’s interpretation of the exact same moment. I can’t decide which one I love more!! Seriously folks, having a second shooter is an oh-so-worth-it investment!!! Not only do you have the peace of mind of having a backup photographer there in the case of any mishaps, you have two completely separate creative interpretations of gorgeous moments like this one.
Again… I shot the two images in black and white with the details of the photos at the forefront of my mind while Shana was able to take a completely different and romantic take on the situation (the two color photos of the same moment are hers). Love the differing perspectives!!
I feel like I can’t skip mentioning the fact that song they chose for the Mother/Son dance was Guns N’ Roses’ Sweet Child of Mine. A first for me. It was totally awesome!
I can’t event begin to describe how amazing the entertainment was at their wedding. they had both the Damon Dotson Band and L-N-S Sounds keeping the party going all night long.
Yes, this really happened. They served grilled cheese sandwiches as a late night snack for their guests. Brilliant!
